Saturday Sample Returns!

Its been a while since I did one of these, so I'll do 2 now.

Recent Hit:

Evolved from Boney M's

and one of my favourites; this amazing vocal from Veera Hall

Was of course transformed by Moby into Natural Blues. I have no idea what the pursuit of happiness connection is, maybe it was in the film. Interesting fact about the film though, the final scene when WIll Smith is walking across the road with his kid, he walks past and sort of double takes at some massive black guy, well that guy is the real Chris Gardner whose life the film is based on:

Metronomy!

Well Metronomy definitely lived up to my expectations, one of the best live acts I've seen in quite a while. They played a lot of their second album and also some new stuff, watch out for tracks "The Look" and "Corrine" which sounded pretty amazing. A number of bicycle films were shown behind the band due to it being the Bicycle Film Festival's opening night and perhaps complimented is too strong a word but they certainly didn't detract from the performance. All in all good night, with tracklisting above.

Considering they didn't play any of their first album, I thought I would post one of my favourite tracks from it, this is the Klaxons cover/remix of Trick or Treatz.
